Fonction

The External Sales Representative works in team with the internal sales representative. It is his/her responsibility to ensure excellent service and customer relationship for a fixed territory or customer’s base.

Opening new accounts (30%) and extend the assortment portfolio with defined existing accounts (70%) is part of the daily work.

Supporting customer satisfaction and loyalty whilst moving the customer to the most efficient sales channel (e.g. online) is very important.

He uses the phone as his/her primary communication tool, but also travels for 1 to 2 weeks per month in order to build relationships.

  • Acts as the responsible sales person between the company and the assigned customers.
  • Go on regular customer visits to improve relationship and sales with customer and write reports.
  • Administers client data in internal support systems (IT).
  • Making offers with correct price calculations.
  • Educate customers to use our E-Shop or EDI.
  • Support of the team (External & Internal) with different tasks.
  • Uses, primarily, telesales tools/knowledge/skills actively and effectively to manage sales across assigned customers and their potential estimation.
  • Aims to continuously expand the business relationship with the defined customers and pushes to cross-sell the sealing assortment.
  • Knows customer’s business environment and goals as well as customer segment incl. products & applications. Knows competitive environment, key suppliers and buying behavior.
  • Leads Customer Relationship Management, representing company interests towards the customers, representing customers’ requirements within the company.
  • Ensures speedy handling of customer complaints and enquiries.
  • Identifies, manages and successfully concludes sales opportunities by persuading and influencing customers to choose the company products and services.
  • Reports periodically with the Internal sales on his/her sales project portfolio.

Profil

  • You must have a technical / commercial background, sales and tele selling training. 
  • Prior sales experience with technical products (B2B) min. 2 years. 
  • Excel and It knowledge is required. 
  • Internal and external communication skills
  • Self-driven and high self-motivation
  • Being ambitious, persuasive, open-minded, reliable and the ability to take ownership. 
  • You must have strong presentation skills, social competences, analytical skills. 
  • Speaks fluent Dutch, French & English
  • Responsible for an efficient handling of all occurring sales activities
  • Work under pressure to get order out on time
  • Flexibility to multi-task as member of small team
  • 30% travel
